When Scott Dorsey reflects on the creation of digital marketing powerhouse ExactTarget, he admits “the odds were stacked against us.” The internet bubble had just burst, and he and his partners were non-technical guys jumping into the world of software. Thirteen years later Salesforce would buy ExactTarget for $2.5 billion.
